All six 2026 Armada trims share the same twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6, the same 8,500-pound tow rating when properly equipped, and the full Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite. What separates them is where you want to go and how you want to arrive. Starting MSRP listed; 4WD available for $3,000 more on eligible trims.
All prices are starting MSRP and do not include destination, tax, title, or license fees. Actual dealer price may vary. See McNeill Nissan for complete details.
The 2026 Nissan Armada carries over the full 2025 redesign, and that redesign changed almost everything. Gone is the 5.6-liter V8 that powered the Armada for years. In its place is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 producing 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque through a 9-speed automatic. The result is a truck that pulls harder, rides more quietly, and gets better fuel economy than the outgoing generation.
The new platform is shared with the Infiniti QX80, which gives the Armada a significantly more upscale foundation than before. The Platinum and Platinum Reserve trims sit comfortably in luxury-SUV territory without the Infiniti badge markup. The PRO-4X earns its name with genuine off-road hardware, and the NISMO, introduced for 2026, is the first performance-tuned Armada ever built.
McNeill Nissan of Wilkesboro stocks the Armada for buyers across Wilkes County, Hickory, Statesville, and the High Country corridor. Browse available Armada inventory or call (336) 844-4661 to check current trim availability.
Every Armada buyer faces the same fork in the road. Here is how to read the map.
If your weekends involve Stone Mountain State Park fire roads, the W. Kerr Scott Reservoir boat launch, or mountain gravel toward Boone on NC-16, the PRO-4X is the answer. It is the only trim with an electronic locking rear differential, dedicated off-road bumper, underbody skid plates, and Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension. 4WD is standard, not optional.
If your road is US-421, I-77, or the school run to Wilkes Central, the SV or SL covers everything you need.
SV / SL for daily use. PRO-4X for the mountains.
The jump from SL to Platinum is real. For $6,960 more you get a 14.3-inch HD touchscreen instead of dual 12.3-inch screens, second-row captain's chairs, and heated and ventilated front seats. The Platinum Reserve adds quilted leather, 22-inch wheels, and heated second-row seats for another $7,060.
If the people in row two are passengers you want to impress, start at the Platinum and move up from there.
SL for practical. Platinum or Reserve for premium.
Five of six Armada trims produce 425 horsepower. The NISMO produces 460 horsepower when running premium fuel, with a sport-tuned suspension and an exhaust that announces itself on US-421 between Wilkesboro and Deep Gap. That is the whole story. Premium fuel is required to reach the 460-hp figure.
The NISMO is the right buy if the performance package matters to you and the ongoing premium fuel cost does not.
NISMO for performance. All other trims for everyday value.

*NISMO 460 hp requires premium fuel. All other trims produce 425 hp on regular fuel. NISMO EPA fuel economy shown for 4WD configuration; confirm exact figures at nissanusa.com. The SV and SL ship with a dual 12.3-inch display system, which covers navigation, entertainment, and the instrument cluster. The Platinum, Platinum Reserve, and NISMO step up to a single 14.3-inch HD touchscreen, and the difference is immediate. The larger panel dominates the center stack in a way the dual 12.3-inch setup does not.
The PRO-4X is the only Armada trim built for real off-road use. It ships with hardware the other five trims do not offer: an electronic locking rear differential, underbody skid plates, an off-road front bumper, and Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension that adjusts ground clearance on demand. All-terrain tires are fitted from the factory. 4WD is not optional, it is the only configuration.
The Platinum Reserve sits $7,060 above the Platinum and earns every dollar of the gap. Quilted leather replaces the standard premium leather throughout. The 22-inch machined alloy wheels are exclusive to this trim. The second-row seats are heated, which the Platinum does not offer. And the Chestnut and Rye TailorFit interior options are Reserve-only choices that push the cabin into Infiniti QX80 territory at a lower price.
Every 2026 Armada, from the base SV to the NISMO, ships with the full Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite. You do not have to pay for safety on the Armada.
Detects vehicles and pedestrians ahead and applies the brakes automatically if a collision is imminent.
Monitors both rear quarters and alerts the driver when a vehicle enters the blind spot zone during lane changes.
Warns the driver of approaching cross traffic when reversing out of parking spaces or driveways.
Detects unintended lane drift and alerts the driver before the vehicle crosses lane markings without signaling.
Automatically switches between high and low beams based on oncoming traffic, keeping visibility high without blinding other drivers.
Applies braking force automatically when an obstruction is detected directly behind the vehicle while reversing.
Each trim serves a different buyer. Here is the short version.
You want a full-size 3-row SUV with wireless CarPlay, the complete Safety Shield 360 suite, and 8,500 pounds of towing without paying for features you will not use. The SV covers everything at the lowest entry point. 4WD is available for $3,000 more if you need it for Wilkes County winter weather.
For $4,690 over the SV, the SL adds built-in navigation, premium audio, a surround-view camera, and trailer backup assist. Most SV shoppers test-drive the SL and do not go back. It hits the practical midpoint of the Armada lineup at a price that still makes sense.
If you haul a boat to W. Kerr Scott Reservoir, run Stone Mountain State Park fire roads, or head up NC-16 toward Glendale Springs on gravel, the PRO-4X has hardware no other Armada trim offers. Buy it if the off-road package matters. Skip it if your roads stay paved.
Second-row captain's chairs, heated and ventilated front seats, and a 14.3-inch HD screen make the Platinum feel more like a luxury SUV than a working truck. If you want the people in row two to be comfortable on the drive to Boone or the Yadkin Valley wine trail, start here.
Quilted leather, 22-inch wheels, and heated second-row seats push the Reserve into Infiniti QX80 territory at a lower price. If you have driven both and the Platinum felt close but not quite there, the Reserve closes the gap. The Chestnut and Rye TailorFit interiors are available nowhere else in the Armada lineup.
The NISMO is not for everyone, and it does not try to be. It trades the captain's chairs and quilted leather for a sport-tuned suspension, 460 horsepower on premium fuel, and an exhaust that does not politely blend into traffic on US-421. The first performance-tuned Armada ever built.
McNeill Nissan has been part of the McNeill family group since 1939 - over 85 years of NC dealership history. We serve buyers from Hickory, Statesville, Boone, and Winston-Salem in addition to the Wilkesboro area. Get in touch here.
The 2026 Nissan Armada starts at $58,840 starting MSRP for the SV in rear-wheel drive. Adding 4WD costs $3,000 on eligible trims. The PRO-4X starts at $74,300 in standard 4WD. The NISMO starts at $79,530, also exclusively in 4WD. All prices are starting MSRP before destination, tax, title, and license fees. See McNeill Nissan for complete current pricing.
The Platinum and Platinum Reserve trims feature second-row captain's chairs, which reduces seating to 7 passengers. The SV, SL, PRO-4X, and NISMO all use a bench second row and seat up to 8 passengers across three rows.
4WD is standard on the PRO-4X and NISMO trims. On the SV, SL, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve, 4WD is a $3,000 option. The PRO-4X and NISMO are only offered in 4WD and cannot be purchased in RWD. If you drive mountain roads or routinely deal with Wilkes County winter weather, the 4WD option on the SL is worth considering before stepping up to the PRO-4X.
The 2026 Nissan Armada tows up to 8,500 pounds when properly equipped across all trim levels. Every trim uses the same twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 producing 516 lb-ft of torque through a 9-speed automatic transmission. The SL includes trailer backup assist as standard equipment starting at $63,530.
The Platinum starts at $70,490 and adds the 14.3-inch HD touchscreen, second-row captain's chairs, and heated and ventilated front seats over the SL. The Platinum Reserve starts at $77,550 and adds 22-inch machined wheels, quilted leather seating, and heated second-row seats to everything the Platinum includes. The Reserve also offers exclusive Chestnut and Rye TailorFit interior options that are not available on any other trim.
The 2026 Armada seats up to 8 passengers across three rows on trims with the bench second row: SV, SL, PRO-4X, and NISMO. The Platinum and Platinum Reserve seat 7 with their standard second-row captain's chairs. If you regularly move a full family plus guests, the SV, SL, or PRO-4X gives you more capacity than the premium trims.
The NISMO adds 35 horsepower over the other trims, reaching 460 hp when running premium fuel. It ships with a sport-tuned suspension, NISMO-exclusive exterior styling (fascia, grille, side steps, and rear spoiler), a sport exhaust, and standard 4WD. It returns to an 8-passenger bench second row from the captain's chairs on the Platinum models. It is the first performance-focused Armada ever sold.
