2019 Nissan Titan vs 2019 Toyota Tacoma
Two trucks came out this year but is there one that stands out above the rest? The 2019 Nissan Titan and the 2019 Toyota Tacoma are going head to head in the battle of “which one is better”!
Round 1: Power
When it comes to buying a truck, we always want to take a look at its power. What is the horsepower? How many pounds can it tow? These are some good questions to consider when purchasing. The 2019 Nissan Titan gets 390 Horsepower, 394 Torque lb-ft and can tow up to 9,380 pounds. The 2019 Toyota Tacoma gets 159 Horsepower, 180 Torque lb-ft and has available towing with its V6 engine, 6-speed transmission of 6,800 pounds. The Nissan Titan clearly wins this round with better power and towing capacity.
Round 2: Safety
When it comes to safety, they both have great safety programs. The 2019 Titan has Nissan Intelligent Mobility which includes features like Intelligent Around View Monitor, Blind Spot Warning and Nissan Door to Door Navigation (no more losing your car 😉 ). The 2019 Tacoma has Toyota Safety Sense which is an active safety package designed to support your awareness on the road. We would say this round is a tie and are glad that both trucks make safety a priority. However, our bias still lends Nissan having experienced the Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite for ourselves!
Round 3: Cargo space
Going into the third round of “which truck is better”, we take a look at cargo space. In the 2019 Nissan Titan, you will get more space to stretch out in. However, compared to the 2019 Tacoma, as far as headroom and legroom go, they are pretty equal. The 2019 Titan is wider than the 2019 Tacoma making parking more of a challenge for the Titan but you do get to load more on the Titan. So, it looks like for this round of space consideration we are leaning more towards the 2019 Titan because of more room in the cabin to stretch in and more space to load your items.
Round 4: Extra Features
We are going to take this into overtime to consider a couple extra features that the 2019 Titan and the 2019 Tacoma have to offer. The 2019 Titan comes with America’s Best Truck Warranty which is limited warranty for 5 years or 100,000 miles. The 2019 Tacoma received the 2019 5-Year Cost to Own Award from Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com. Because they each have something special about them, we would like to say this is a tie and it is up to the customer to consider which one is personally more important to them, however we think the Titan is the way to go!
